‘Come race me’ - Hunter Woodhall begs for showdown with IShowSpeed as he reveals sad reality in track & field
Paralympic champion Hunter Woodhall and wife Tara Davis-Woodhall have revealed the sad reality that exists in track & field following the sprint race between Noah Lyles and IShowSpeed.
“I hope they play hot to go,” Tara said while submitting her request for the ‘Hot to go’ song by Chappell Roan, and she got just that before she jumped in the air to sing and dance to the lyrics.
As per the foundation’s website, Steps of Faith is a nonprofit public charity dedicated to providing prosthetic care, hope, and comfort to amputees needing financial support. It also helps uninsured and underinsured amputees get the prosthetic limbs they need.
The initiative is close to the heart for Hunter who is a double amputee and his wife Tara, his main support system, was never going to miss.
Tara and Hunter recently relocated to Kansas City following their long-time coach Travis Geopfert, who also moved to take up a role as the Track and Field Cross-Country coach at the Kansas University, while the Olympics champion also joined the same institution as an assistant coach.
The couple had an impressive 2024 season when Tara became the fourth American woman to win Olympics long jump gold while Hunter claimed gold in 400m T-62 at the Paris Paralympics, his first-ever, before adding bronze in 4x100m mixed relay.
