Hurdling queen Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone acknowledges Sha'Carri Richardson faced some challenges during the Paris 2024 Olympics and will love to share a piece of her crown with the world 100m champion, as well as four other American female athletes.
Following her successful Olympic 400mH title defense at Paris 2024 Games, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone was presented with a crown by her sister-in-law as an endowment of her supremacy.
McLaughlin-Levrone obliterated her 400mH World Record to win gold in a jaw-dropping 50.37s, thus breaking her WR for the sixth time in the event. In addition, she became the first woman to defend an Olympic 400mH title successfully.

"My sister-in-law brought a crown for me last night. She told me, months ago, that she was going to bring it and she gave it to me after the race but if I had to break off pieces, and give it to other women on Team USA, this is who I give it to. I would give a piece of that to Gabby Thomas in the 200m. Tara Davis (Olympic long jump champion) for sure," said McLaughlin-Levrone.
"Sha’Carri, I know there were some issues going on, but she still went out there and did her thing. Elle St. Pierre, she’s a beast, I absolutely love watching her run.

"Gosh, there are so many names I could name. I honestly could name everybody. Jasmine Moore doubling in both the long jump and the triple jump. There are just so many women who are represented super well," she added.
The 25-year-old hopes she can inspire other young women to chase their dreams and is grateful to have represented Team USA at three different Olympics, starting from Rio 2016 when she made her debut as a teenager.

US star sprinter Gabby Thomas is the crowned queen of athletics at Paris 2024 Olympics with three gold medals.
"I remember watching the Olympics as a young girl and just envisioning myself here, being able to have that full-circle moment. I hope I inspire young women all over to go after whatever they are chasing. I would tell a young girl coming up in sports to honestly run her race, not looking left or right because everyone’s journey is different," she concluded.
