Speaking to Pulse Sports, the 23-year-old shared that her secret to success has always been perfecting her skills in training and always listening to her coach.

“My body is responding well now and I’m improving bit by bit. I’m slowly picking the pace and I’m glad things are working out well on my side.

“The secret is just perfecting my training and doing everything my coach tells me. When my coach tells me to do something, I always ensure I follow his instructions,” Mbagari said.

This season has a lot in store for the two-time national champion who will be seeking an international breakthrough and generally just run well.

The All-African Games are scheduled for Friday, March 8 to Saturday, March 23 in Accra, Ghana and Mbagari will be hoping to make the cut to the national team. The Olympic Games in Paris, France will also be happening later this year and the sprinter is dreaming big about making her debut there.

“I want to run well, especially in the 100m…I want to run 11.00. I’m also focusing on the All-African Games but my main goal is to go for the Olympic Games.

“Making the cut to the Olympic Games will mean a lot to me since it will change my life,” Mbagari said.
