Two-time World 200m champion Shericka Jackson will be looking to attack the 200m world record this season and she hopes that it will go down at the Diamond League Meeting in Brussels on Friday, September 8.

Jackson is considered the fastest 200m woman alive with her time of 21.41 that she ran to win the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
During the Diamond League Meeting in Brussels pre-race press conference, Jackson said: “At the World Championships I was so close, just a little wind and I would have been the world record holder.
"Coach and I have spoken and I think we are going after it this year and I hope to get it tomorrow if I do. That would probably ease a little pressure for me going to Eugene.
"If not, we have another shot at Eugene and as I said, there is no perfect race but I just want to run a good race this season.”
She added that if all conditions on Friday allow, she will definitely go for the record since her time is close to the record and she believes she has all it takes to set the record.
The World 100m silver medallist added that her body is responding well and she is in the right mindset to go for the record and she will give it a shot in the Belgian capital.
