Jackson clocked 10.84 to cross the finish line first ahead of Tia Clayton and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce who finished second and third in respective times of 10.90 and 10.94.
The two-time world 200m champion started her campaign in a steady manner, clocking 10.99 to win the preliminaries before finishing second behind Clayton in the semifinal, a move that sent shockwaves to her fans. Clayton clocked 10.83 to win as Jackson came in distant second in 10.87.
