Cote D'Ivoire's Marie-Josee Ta Lou recorded another impressive win defeating a stacked field at the London Diamond League.
Marie Josee Ta Lou continued her impressive season form, defeating homegirl Dina Asher-Smith and Jamaica's Shericka Jackson in the women's 100m event at the London Diamond League.
With Sha'Carri Richardson withdrawing a few hours before the race due to an injury, the race was between Ta Lou and Jackson for the famous win.
The Ivorian lived up to expectations, clocking a convincing 10.75s to blaze past Asher-Smith, who surprised with a Season's Best (SB) of 10.85s, while Jackson settled for third in 10.94s.
It is Jackson's second consecutive loss since winning the Jamaican trials in a world-leading 10.65s, after losing to Sha'Carri Richardson at the Silesia Diamond League a week ago.
Consequently, Ta Lou extended her winning streak to a seventh run, strengthening her position as a top favourite for the world title in Budapest.
