Three-time Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is set to be honoured in Jamaica following her stunning performance that has earned her great praise.
As reported by Jamaica Gleaner, the move to honour Fraser-Pryce was decided at a meeting of the Council held in the Marcus Garvey Council Chamber in Kingston. From the meeting it was concluded that the 10-time world champion will be given the Keys to the City of Kingston by the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation.
The Councillor of the Hagley Park Division, Waynette Strachan, lauded Fraser-Pryce for her dominant performances that have placed Jamaica on the global stage. She explained that she greatly deserves the honour and so much more.

“In giving Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce the Keys to the City we are not just honouring her past accomplishments but we're celebrating the promise of all that is yet to come. Her journey is far from over and I have no doubt that she will continue to inspire, uplift and break barriers for many years to come,” she added.
On his part, the Councillor for the Waterhouse Division, Bryon Lee Clarke, noted that Fraser-Pryce deserves the honour since she has worked her way to the top.
Other Councillors who were in the meeting also lauded the 37-year-old for her exceptional work on and off the track, noting that she truly deserves the honour. They include Dennis Gordon, Eugene Kelly, Andrew Harris and Jermaine Hyatt.
