Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce reveals what would make youth coaching challenging, despite her cheerful personality and dedication to inspiring future generations.

Jamaican sprint queen Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has explained why she would not thrive as a youth coach or teacher despite having one of the best personalities.

The 10-time world champion is one of the bubbliest people and one would automatically think she would do well with kids but she has yet to get there.

In reply to a fan who had asked the question, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce revealed that she does not have that much patience when it comes to dealing with young people and she has to work on that before making the bold move.

The fan asked: “Ever thought of becoming a teacher? Or a youth track coach?”

“I would have to learn more patience,” Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce replied.

The question was asked after the three-time Olympic champion shared a video with kids who are beneficiaries of the pocket rocket foundation on her Instagram handle. She also shared a selfie with the kids who were all smiles.

“Screaming: ‘I promise to be and become extraordinary…Because a promise to myself is a promise for the future.’ Another generation of leaders in the making over at @sfppocketrocketfoundation," she captioned the post.

Meanwhile, as she plans to hang her spikes in the near future, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has yet to disclose what she plans to do on the side and coaching might just be a thing for her. She might also choose to be like Usain Bolt and venture into other interests.

At the start of 2024 Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce revealed that the Paris Olympic Games would be her final Olympics. However, she did not have a great run at the Olympics, being forced to withdraw from the semifinal of the women’s 100m.

She won her respective heat but speculations claimed that she felt a little discomfort in the warm up area and decided not to continue her campaign.

The four-time Olympic silver medallist started her season late, competing at the JAAA Olympic French Foray 3 where she claimed the win before heading to the Jamaican Olympic trials where she finished third in the women’s 100m final behind Shericka Jackson and Tia Clayton.

Fans are eager to see her compete next season and she has yet to disclose whether she will be going back to the track or will engage in other activities.
