Pocket Rocket has unveiled a stunning braided hairstyle for the holidays showcasing her AFIMI brand and celebrating self-expression.

Jamaican track legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is set to embrace the holiday season with style as she unveils a stunning new braided hairstyle from her hair care brand AFIMI.

After a challenging 2024 season, the sprint icon is taking time to relax and recharge, sharing glimpses of her off-season vibes with fans on social media.

In a recent Instagram post by AFIMI, Fraser-Pryce was seen rocking intricately braided hair, perfect for her holiday look.

The caption from her brand read: “Weekend ready. AFIMI start to finish💚."

The post garnered excitement among her followers, with many admiring her flawless style and confidence.

Fraser-Pryce, affectionately known as the "Pocket Rocket," has always celebrated the power of self-expression through her bold and vibrant hairstyles.

When launching her hair care line earlier this year, she shared her inspiration for starting the business, saying, “Hair is your most powerful form of self-expression and has been an exciting way to reinvent myself every time I step on the track. From the main stage to the finish line, my hair has helped me set the tone for many fearless victories. That’s why it’s so important that it gets the care it needs.”

AFIMI, her brainchild, is a homage to her Jamaican roots.

Explaining the ethos behind her brand, Fraser-Pryce expressed, “I’ve designed these products with you in mind to keep your hair feeling and performing its best no matter what comes your way. This line is a vibrant tribute to Jamaica, inspired by its lush resources and welcoming essence — each ingredient naturally sourced from the earth to enhance your natural beauty. AFIMI, It’s for you, no matter who you are.”

Fraser-Pryce’s love for unique hairstyles has been a defining feature of her illustrious career.

From vibrant colors to intricate braids, she has continuously used her hair as a form of self-expression on and off the track.

One of her most iconic looks came during the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, where she sported a green and yellow hairstyle inspired by the Jamaican flag.

Despite her reputation for pushing boundaries in both fashion and athletics, 2024 proved to be a difficult year for the sprinting legend.

She started her season late and competed in only three events. She claimed victory at the JAAA Olympic French Firay meet, clocking 11.15 seconds in the 100m.

At the Jamaican Championships in Kingston, she finished third in the same event.

However, Fraser-Pryce’s Olympic campaign came to an unexpected end when she withdrew from the semifinals of the 100m at the Paris Olympics, concluding her season prematurely.

Now enjoying a much-needed break, Fraser-Pryce is focusing on personal projects like AFIMI while spending time with family and preparing for the festivities.
