Mummy Rocket has hinted at a potential comeback exciting fans after a challenging season and her Paris Olympics withdrawal.

After weeks of silence following her unexpected withdrawal from the Paris Olympics, Jamaican sprint legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is back to interacting with her fans.

Two-time Olympic 100m champion has seemingly hinted at a comeback leaving her followers buzzing with excitement.

In a post on Facebook, Fraser-Pryce shared a picture of herself back in the gym, accompanied by the caption;

"Purpose doesn’t come with a deadline. When you know what you’re capable of, it’s ok to want more 💯🚀 #MindsetMonday #MommyRocket #GoForMore," she wrote.

For Fraser-Pryce, 2024 has been a year filled with challenges as a delayed start to her season due to injury saw her only make her debut in June at the JAAA Olympic French Foray 3, where she secured a win, marking a positive return to the track.

However, the journey to the Paris Olympics proved to be less straightforward.

The Jamaican sprint queen went on to compete in the National Olympic Trials, clocking 10.91 seconds in the finals to finish third and secure her fifth consecutive Olympic Games berth.

But her journey in Paris did not go as planned. Despite running an impressive 10.92 seconds in the heats, Fraser-Pryce shocked the world by withdrawing from the semifinals.

In a brief statement after the event, Fraser-Pryce expressed her heartbreak.

"It is difficult for me to find the words to describe the depth of my disappointment. I know that my supporters share and shoulder this disappointment with me," she wrote.

"I am truly Blessed to have had the steadfast support of my fans since my Olympic debut in 2008."

The unexpected withdrawal marked the first time Fraser-Pryce left an Olympic Games empty-handed.

The 37-year-old sprinter, affectionately dubbed "Mommy Rocket," has been a force in track and field since winning her first Olympic gold in 2008.

She went on to defend her 100m title in 2012 and has accumulated six other Olympic medals over her illustrious career.

In the weeks following her Paris disappointment, Fraser-Pryce remained relatively quiet on social media, leaving fans curious about her future. However, in a recent update, she reignited hope.

On Sunday, Fraser-Pryce shared another post that further hinted at a potential return to the track. Quoting a hymn that reflected her deep faith, she posted, “All that I am and ever hope to be, I owe it all to Thee. To God be the glory For the things He has done🙏🏾 #SundayBlessings. Being patient. God isn’t through with me yet 🙏🏾💯🚀 #RocketNation.”

The posts have led many to believe that Fraser-Pryce is gearing up for another chapter in her career, despite the setbacks of 2024.

Fans have rallied around the sprinter, offering words of encouragement and expressing excitement at the possibility of seeing her return to competition.
