Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will be racing in Europe for the first time since the World Championships in Budapest where she intends to polish her sharpness ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will return to Europe for her first competition since the 2023 World Championships.

The 10-time world champion will be competing at the Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern on Tuesday night as she gears up for her last dance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Fraser-Pryce competed at the event last year, clocking 10.82 to open her season amid injury concerns.

She raced in Madrid before heading to the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary where she won a bronze medal in the 100m.

An excited fan of Fraser-Pryce broke the news on his X (Twitter) handle, saying: “BREAKING NEWS: Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is heading back to Luzern!!! The GOAT will be in action at the Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern on Tuesday, her first race on European soil since the 2023 World Championships Via @emenews."

In 2024, the three-time Olympic champion opened her season at the JAAA Olympic French Foray 3, winning in 11.15. The Jamaican sprint queen then proceeded to the Jamaican Championships where she also impressed and sealed a ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Fraser-Pryce won the preliminaries and semifinal of the 100m, clocking 10.98 and 10.91 respectively before her podium finish in the final where she clocked 10.94.

She will join two-time world 200m champion Shericka Jackson and 19-year-old Tia Clayton who finished first and second at the trials.

As she heads to Europe, the 37-year-old will be looking to shine and gauge her form over the 100m with less than a week to track and field action in Paris.
