Noah Lyles recently proposed to the Jamaican quarter-mile in a lavish party and the American sprint legend believes that is a great move as the triple world champion looks to bounce back better and stronger next season.
Speaking on his Ready Set Go podcast, the four-time world champion explained that as a sports person, one needs a partner to keep them grounded and help them focus on the main goals, avoiding distractions.

Justin Gatlin pointed out that there are many challenges faced by active athletes, not excluding Noah Lyles and he expressed excitement that he will at least have a safe space to unwind when the season begins. However, that does not rule out the fact that Junelle Bromfield will also need a shoulder to lean on since she is a professional athlete.
“In Noah's news, Noah popped the question to his girl…At the age you are, when you are running, you want to make sure you have the most focus and you have to make sure you keep the people out of your life that are going to distract you from achieving your goals,” Justin Gatlin said.
“So, it looks like it’s the opposite for them like she helps bring a sense of calmness to him so he can go out there and stay focused on what he has to do so I’m happy for him.”
Meanwhile, Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield met on social media in 2017 and at the time, they decided to become friends after their first date didn’t go as planned. The reigning Olympic 100m champion then asked the two-time Olympian out again in 2022 and have been together since.
On Sunday, October 13, the 27-year-old took to Instagram to announce his engagement to Junelle Bromfield.
