Mary Moraa's coach, Alex Sang, has disclosed that the 800m world record is in their plans as they eye the Olympic Games next year.
Speaking to Real Talk with Tee, the American said: “Oh my God. I told my coach at the beginning of the season that if I went 10.6, I would wear my natural hair because he loves my naturalness and everybody loves it."
"When I won the World Championships with a championship record, I had to come out with my natural afro.”
Richardson has enjoyed a glamorous season this year, being beaten only twice in the 100m. She finished second at the Gyulai István Memorial, a Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix, and finished fourth at the Prefontaine Classic.
At the Prefontaine Classic, Shericka Jackson took top honours in both the 100m and 200m to end her season on a high.
