The American will be hoping to extend her winning streak as she lines up the formidable field.

Reigning World 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson will once again book a date with two of her arch rivals at the Prefontaine Classic, the final leg of the Diamond League Meeting happening at the Hayward Field in Eugene, USA.

Richardson will lock horns with Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson and Ivory Coast’s Marie Josée Ta Lou, who are also among the top three fastest women in the world so far this year.

Richardson and Jackson are the fastest so far this year, having run 10.65. Ta Lou is the third fastest in the field after clocking 10.75 to win the Bislett Games, a Diamond League Meeting in Oslo, Norway.

The American will be hoping to extend her winning streak as she lines up the formidable field. She has only lost one 100m race, at the Gyulai István Memorial, a Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix where she finished second.

She blazed to carry the day at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, winning the 100m and beating Jackson and defending champion Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce.

After the World Championships, the 23-year-old extended her hot streak to the Diamond League Meeting in Zurich where she beat Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah.

On her part, Jackson has also had a fair season in the 100m, finishing in the podium bracket in all her races. She has competed in four Diamond League Meetings in the 100m where she finished second in two and third in two.

She finished second at the World Championships in the Hungarian capital and she will be hoping to do better on American soil.

Over the 200m, she has had a smooth season, winning all her races and recording fast times. At the World Championships, she got close to the late Florence Joyner’s world record after running 21.41 to win.

Ta Lou has had a smooth run in the Diamond League Meetings that also saw her set the third-fastest time in the world this year. She won all her Diamond League Meeting races and finished fourth at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
