What are the odds of the Olympic 100m gold medallists in Paris? Well, bookies have favoured Sha'Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles.

World 100m champion's Sha'Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles are bookies favourites to win the women's and men's 100m gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Fresh from winning the US trials, the star sprinters will head to Paris as one of the top challengers for the 100m podium placements, but bookies have now favoured them to walk away as Olympic champions.

Sha'Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles are the United States fastest sprinters

According to @trackworldnews, Richardson has 105 odds to win the 100m gold, ahead of Shericka Jackson in second at 350 odds and Julien Alfred at 500 odds.

Melissa Jefferson, the United States silver medallist at their Trials is fourth on the list with 750 odds, while Jamaican legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce takes the fifth spot at 1000 odds.

Consequently, Lyles takes the lead in the men's category at 150 odds. Jamaica's new speed king Kishane Thompson is a close second at 250 odds, and his compatriot Oblique Seville third with 600 odds.

Africa's fastest men in the continent Letsile Tebogo, Ferdinand Omanyala, and Akani Simbine occupy the following spots, while defending Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs is ninth on the list.

If these predictions end up right, Richardson will become USA's first Olympic 100m gold medallist since 1996, and Lyles the first since Athens 2004.
