Sha'Carri Richardson among notable names missing from 'SPRINT' docuseries season two

Sha'Carri Richardson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce are among the notable names not listed in the second season of the SPRINT docuseries premiering in November.

The second season of the SPRINT docuseries will debut on Netflix on November 13 with some of the notable names who were present in the first edition missing.

The first season debuted in July and followed some of the top sprinters in the world as they geared up for the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Sha’Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles headlined the sprinters with Shericka Jackson, Elaine Thompson-Herah and Marcell Jacobs also in the mix.

The second season will be all about the athletes as they prepare for the just-concluded Paris Olympic Games. Netflix has announced the cast of the second season, however, Richardson, Thompson-Herah and Shell-Ann Fraser-Pryce are some of the athletes missing from the top list.

Zharnel Hughes, who was part of season one has not been listed as part of the cast in the second season of SPRINT.

Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles returns in full mode with three-time Olympic champion Gabby Thomas also among the cast members. Olympic bronze medalist Fred Kerley and Olympic silver medalist Kishane Thompson will also be featured.

Olympic 100m champion Julien Alfred will also make her debut in the docuseries with newly-crowned Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo in the mix. Olympic 100m bronze medallist Melissa Jefferson and Olympic 100m finalist and 4x100m Olympic gold medalist Twanisha Terry will also be making their debuts.

Former Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs and Olympic 200m silver medallist Kenny Bednarek will be featured alongside Shericka Jackson who pulled out of the Olympic Games due to an injury setback.

Oblique Seville, the youngster who silenced Noah Lyles in the men’s 100m at the Racers Grand Prix and the men’s 100m semifinal at the Olympic Games will also debut in the docuseries.
