Her highlight of the season was at the World Championships in Budapest, where she blazed to the top of the women's 100m event by winning the world title in a Championship Record (CR) of 10.65s, claimed the 200m bronze medal in a lifetime best of 21.92s, and anchored USA's 4x100m relay team to a record gold medal.

The 23-year-old was also a good ambassador of the sport off-track, making the news for the right reasons with great levels of maturity and exceptional growth compared to her previous years.

"I would say some of the things that has helped me grow is taking accountability. You have to be able to take accountability for your mistakes and the things you have to correct within yourself before you can correct anything else.

"I would say, self-love, that's a big thing. No matter how the world or outside can give you love if you can't give yourself that love, you're never going to be able to receive love.

"And my last, I would say confidence. It is something that you have to have within you when you win, lose, draw, better days, ugly days, nasty days, pretty days, you have to always have that within yourself and know that the sun comes out again as long as you open your mind to align with that as well," said Richardson.

She's currently enjoying her off-season like most athletes and will be gunning to have another outstanding 2024 Olympic year when she resumes training for the incoming season.
