Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam Track has signed Jamaica’s Rushell Clayton and Americans Jasmine Jones and Shamier Little as Racers ahead of the league’s debut in 2025.
The trio signed with the lucrative track league after an industrious 2024 season that saw them impress in a series of meetings and the Paris Olympic Games. Rushell Clayton, Jasmine Jones, and Shamier Little have now completed the long hurdles Racers’ group signed to the league for all four Slams.
Olympic 400m hurdles silver medallist Anna Cockrell and Olympic bronze medalist Femke Bol have no slot as Racers but if they decide to sign with the league, they will compete as Challengers.

Shamier Little missed out on this year’s 400m hurdles squad to the Olympics after finishing fourth place at the US Olympic Trials. She was also ninth in the 400m final at the US Olympic Trials.
She competed in the mixed 4x400m relay and earned a silver medal at the Paris Olympic Games. She also started off the women’s 4x400m relay in the final with the team eventually winning a gold medal.
Meanwhile, Rushell Clayton has had a great season, running a personal best of 51.81 seconds in the 400m and 52.51 seconds in the 400m hurdles. The Jamaican quarter-miler also claimed two Diamond League titles. She was fifth in the 400m hurdles final at the Paris Olympic Games.
On her part, Jones is just fresh from wrapping up her senior year at the University of Southern California. In the 400m final at the Paris Olympic Games, Jones finished fourth in a time of 52.29 seconds.
The 400m hurdles Olympic champion and world record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone was the first athlete who signed with the league in April.
Others who have been included in the 2025 roaster include Daniel Roberts and Jereem Richards with two-time Guatemalan Olympian and national record holder Luis Grijalva also making the list.
Canada’s Marco Arop, the reigning World champion and Olympic silver medalist at 800m, has signed with Grand Slam Track as a Racer ahead of the professional track league’s inaugural season in 2025.
Another athlete to sign with the league is world champion Marco Arop in the ‘short distance’ as a Racer group that includes Olympic 1500m champion Cole Hocker, Olympic 1500m silver medallist and reigning World champion Josh Kerr and Olympic 1500m bronze medallist Yared Nuguse.
