The National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) has officially released the list of delegates for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The traveling team comprises 124 athletes and technical staff from six different disciplines. Additionally, the delegation includes three heads of delegation: Principal Secretary Peter Tum, Hon. Dan Wanyama, and Senator Julius Murgor.

Delegation composition

The list notably includes two non-sporting personalities: PS Peter Tum and the chairmen of the Senate and Parliamentary Committees on Sports.

NOC-K has also extended support to any individual or groups from both local and national government who wish to travel and cheer the team.

The committee, along with their hospitality partners, will draft letters of recommendation and provide other travel information to these groups.

Key officials and referees

The team features three referees: weightlifting official John Ogolla, experienced FKFPL referee Stephen Odhiambo, and tennis referee Teresa Mutuku.

Olympic family members

The delegation includes five prominent members of the Olympic family: Kipchoge Keino, Humphrey Kayange, Francis Mutuku, and Lt. General Jackson Tuwei.

Management team

The management team, comprising 26 individuals, brings the total number of the traveling delegation to 150.

NOC-K, reiterating its earlier stance reported by Pulse Sports, has confirmed its willingness to assist any individual or groups from the local or national government who wish to travel to Paris to support the athletes. NOC-K and their hospitality partners will provide letters of recommendation and other necessary travel information to interested groups.

“We would like as many Kenyans to go cheer our boys and girls in Paris. Our athletes are our superheroes who bring us much joy. We shall therefore accord maximum support to those who want to go cheer them in Paris, as long as you are prepared to pay for your travel and accommodation there,” clarified Principal Secretary for Sports, Peter Tum.

Kenya's delegation is set and ready to represent the nation on the global stage at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with strong support from both officials and fans alike.
