Fred Kerley aims a slight dig at his rivals and warns them ahead of the new season.

Olympic 100m bronze medallist Fred Kerley has taken a swipe at his rivals ahead of the new season.

His comment comes in the wake of Olympic 100m champion Lyles cruising to victory in 60m by beating Bahama's Terrence Jones and Italy's Marcell Jacobs at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on February 2.

Via a shared story on Instagram, the three-time world champion implied: “Indoor is indoor. The real dogs come and play outdoors.”

Kerley might have been referring to Noah Lyles considering that the pair have extended their rivalry beyond track.

Last year, Fred Kerley turned up the heat in his rivalry with Noah Lyles, taking things to a whole new level with a brutal warning on Instagram Live. He warned Lyles to stop mentioning his name or risk tensions rising when they meet at any track event.

Their rivalry has something to do with their personality traits, as Lyles once mentioned. What is going through Fred’s head is yet to be known. But one thing is known for sure: he is ending up with the shorter end of the stick in this rivalry.

Despite both being Americans, their relationship remains strictly professional. And with the 2025 outdoor season starting in March, things are about to get even more intense.
