At Diamond League Silesia, Natalia Kaczmarek will be aiming for revenge against Olympic champion after their intense 400m rivalry in Paris.

Poland's Natalia Kaczmarek is setting the stage for a spectacular showdown at the upcoming Diamond League meeting on 25th August at Silesian Stadium.

Following her remarkable performance in the Olympics where she secured a bronze medal, Kaczmarek is now eyeing a chance for redemption against the formidable Olympic gold medalist Marileidy Paulino.

Kaczmarek has a consistent performance under the 49-second mark this season and has set a new benchmark in women's sprinting.

By breaking this barrier three times in a single season, she has mirrored feats not seen for nearly four decades, underscoring her readiness to challenge the best on the global stage.

"It is a dream," Kaczmarek shared after Paris Olympics as per Diamond League portal.

The Polish sprinter's focus now turns to the Silesian Stadium, a venue that holds special significance for her as the site of her first sub-50-second run and a place she often refers to as her favorite.

The stakes are high as Kaczmarek prepares to face Paulino once again.

The Dominican sprinter, who clocked an impressive 48.17 seconds at the Stade de France placing her fourth on the all-time list is not the only challenge.

The field is packed with elite athletes, including Rhasidat Adeleke, who has her own score to settle with Kaczmarek after finishing fourth in the Olympic final.

Piotr Małachowski, the sports director of the meeting, emphasized the caliber of the competitors.

"These names are electrifying. But what about Lieke Klaver? Sada Williams? Henriette Jæger? We have contracted them as well. All of them have a 49 to their names this year. It will be a spectacular race, but not the only one of the day," he stated.

Kaczmarek’s coach, Marek Rożej, spoke about the mental aspect of racing against such a strong field.

"Natalia loves to win. She loves the big stage and that is something the strongest possible opponents give her. Standing next to them, you become a part of it. But at the same time, you do not want to give ground, you want to show you are their equal," he explained.

"This is why the competition in the Silesian Stadium, for both Kaczmarek and the fans who will get an opportunity to thank her, will be a repeat of the Paris final."
