Patience Okon-George joined the list of Nigerian female sub-52s runners this season at the AFN Golden League in Abuja.
Veteran Nigerian quarter-miler Patience Okon-George is not stopping anytime soon after racing to another sub-52s time at the AFN Golden League in Abuja.
Okon-George first clocked 52.59s on the first day of the All-Comers meet before lowering it to an impressive 51.92s on the second day of the Golden League.
Her time is the third fastest by a Nigerian female quarter-miler this season, behind Imaobong Uko's 51.66s and Ella Onojuvwevwo's 51.85s.
The veteran has been an active 400m runner since 2013, and for her to still be running this fast at her age speaks volumes of her consistency and commitment to the sport.
Earlier in the year, Pulse Sports had an exclusive with Okon-George on any retirement plans, in which she simply stated that the younger ones are not challenging her enough to retire.
With the rate she's still going strong, the multiple National champion and international medallist still has more to give the country.
