The USA secured Olympic gold medal in the men's 4x400m relay as Letsile Tebogo anchored Botswana to silver.
Rai Benjamin anchored Team USA to 4x400m relay gold as Letsile Tebogo nearly won the title for Botswana before settling for silver.
Botswana led in the first leg, finishing the race in 44.30 ahead of the United States and Great Britain who finished second and third respectively.
The second leg also saw Botswana dominate courtesy of Collen Kebinatshipi before losing course in the third leg with Team USA taking charge. Bryce Deadmon oozed class as he competed in the third leg and handed the baton swiftly to Rai Benjamin.

Shannon Sharpe has jumped to Noah Lyles defence after it was confirmed he was suffering from COVID-19 before the 200m final.
Letsile Tebogo, competing against Benjamin, the newly-crowned Olympic 400m Hurdles champion, tried to catch up but the American was not resting on his laurels. He crossed the finish line in a stunning Olympic record time of 2:54.43.
Tebogo was classy as he settled for second place in an African record time of 2:54.53. Great Britain, who were also looking very formidable, completed the podium with Charles Dobson's magical split that earned them a British record of 2:55.83.
Benjamin has been impressive this season and being handed the final leg would guarantee Team USA a medal in the men's relay. This also comes as redemption for the Americans after their men's 4x100m relay team was disqualified.
Benjamin entered the race with much-needed confidence after beating defending champion Karsten Warholm in the men's 400m Hurdles to be crowned Olympic champion. Alison Dos Santos of Brazil finished third in the tight race.
Meanwhile, Tebogo, fresh from winning the men’s 200m at the Paris Olympic Games, when he became the first African to achieve the feat. He beat Kenny Bednarek and Noah Lyles to second and third place respectively in the 200m.
The first round saw Botswana, anchored by Tebogo, take the win ahead of Great Britain and the United States of America. Japan and Zambia qualified for the final courtesy of the fastest loser slot.
