Olympics supercomputer predicts exact number of medals Team Kenya will win at Paris 2024 games

A supercomputer has predicted the number of medals Team Kenya will deliver at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

A supercomputer has projected a strong showing for Team Kenya at the Paris Olympics, predicting the nation will secure a total of 11 medals.

This forecast places Kenya among the top 20 countries in the medal tally, reflecting the nation's growing prowess in the global sporting arena.

According to the supercomputer’s analysis, Kenya is anticipated to win four gold medals, four silver medals, and three bronze medals.

This would be two short of the record six gold medals that they won at the 2008 Olympic games, which to this day remains the country’s most successful participation at the quadrennial games.

Kenya have heavily been tipped to snatch gold in the women’s 5000 and 1500 meters thanks to the sheer brilliance of the indomitable Faith Kipyegon, as well as the women’s marathon, where Peres Jepchirchir will be aiming to deliver a second-consecutive gold medal.

The Kenyans can still deliver gold in the men’s marathon even though Eliud Kipchoge has not been on a good run of form, as well as in the women’s 800 meters, although Mary Moraa faces stiff competition to pick up where she left off last year at the World Athletics championships.

The United States is predicted to lead the medal tally with an impressive 120 medals, including 44 golds. China is expected to follow, securing 88 medals with 36 golds.

Host nation France is forecasted to secure fourth place overall, with 23 golds and a total of 60 medals, while Great Britain is expected to be the top-performing European nation, with 21 golds and 67 medals in total.

Japan, Australia, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and South Korea are also projected to achieve double digits in gold medals. Athletes from Canada, Spain, Brazil, Hungary, Ukraine, New Zealand, Poland, Denmark, and Kazakhstan join Kenya in the prediction of winning gold medals at the Paris Olympics.

The predicted success of Team Kenya highlights the country's consistent performance in athletics, particularly in distance running events. The upcoming Paris Olympics could be a significant milestone for Kenya as the nation aims to solidify its position as a leading force in the sporting world.
