The retired sprinter has raised eyebrows about Shericka Jackson's depth of injury following her silence as the Paris Olympic Games loom.

After pulling up an injury at the Gyulai István Memorial, a Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix, Shericka Jackson has not raced or made any appearance and fans have expressed worry concerning that.

Fans were expecting to see Jackson at the Paris Olympic Games opening ceremony but she was a no show, something the raised more questions.

Three-time Olympic bronze medallist Ato Boldon has made a damning revelation concerning the MVP Track Club that may sink the hearts of fans even further. Boldon disclosed that during this Olympic year, Jackson’s training camp does extreme training on athletes and they might be covering up Jackson’s injury.

The retired sprinter noted that after her performance at the Diamond League Meeting in Oslo where she finished fifth, Jackson never looked composed starting the race. He explained that the Jamaican sprint queen has not been herself these past few days.

“Well, I think they have kept some injuries very quiet and I know their actions during the Olympic year is to put athletes on training for a little longer than most camps do. However, once you get through that kind of training, you are okay for the year,” Boldon told Letsrun.com.

“Think of Shericka last year, everybody was on fumes, Sha’Carri lost, remember when she ran the 200m last year at Prefontaine? So, they get their athletes ready by not worrying about what the calendar will look like.

“When she came out, she was not looking herself, she looked heavy, she looked sluggish but she did recover in time to win the Jamaican Olympic trials. Her 200m looks good but not great,” he added.

As per Sports Illustrated, Jackson has not been primed to win either the 100m and 200m. In the 100m, they completely ruled out the Jamaican while in the 200m, they predicted that Jackson would finish second.

“I noticed that the picks from Sports Illustrated do not have her winning either the 100m or 200m and I have a feeling that her injury or whatever it was is more than what they are letting on,” he said.

“I need Shericka to come to Paris and show me the 10.6 Shericka and 21.4 Shericka because I have my concerns.”
