Favour Ofili wins SEC Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week.
For the second consecutive week, Favour Ofili has been named the South Eastern Conference (SEC) Runner of the Week, though she shares this week's honours with teammate Michaela Rose.
The Louisiana State University (LSU) junior raced to the NCAA history books at the Tyson Invitational last weekend when she clocked an outstanding Personal Best (PB) of 22.36s to win the 200m event.

Her time attained significant feats which are: the African Record (smashed her record of 22.46s), the Nigerian record, the LSU record, the Facility record, second on the NCAA all-time list, and the sixth fastest in world history. It is also the NCAA and world-leading time.
She also ran a lifetime best of 7.15s in the 60m final, which ties for fifth on LSU's all-time performance list with Muna Lee.
Ofili is one of the shining stars in the college circuit this season and tipped to sweep the 200m conference and NCAA titles at the indoor championships.

She also has huge prospects of winning a medal in the 60m, considering she gets faster with each meet she competes in this season.
Though it will be a tall order, Ofili can attempt breaking Abby Steiner's collegiate record of 22.08s by becoming the first college athlete iin history to run sub-22s in the 200m indoors.
