Nigeria's Discus queen Obiageri Amaechi threw an impressive mark that put her in the list of Africa's best in the event.
An excellent performance from African Games champion Obiageri Amaechi saw her write her name in the Discus history books of Nigeria athletics, after throwing a brilliant Personal Best (PB) of 62.92m at the Oklahoma Throws Series in Ramona.
Amaechi's impressive mark sees her move second on the Nigerian all-time list, third all-time in Africa, and become only the fourth Nigerian woman to surpass 60m.
Her series was so good that she set other marks over 60m with 60.65m and 60.07m, which would have also smashed her previous PB of 58.93m thrown to win the African Games title.
