In a post on his Facebook page, Lyles said: “They say if they don’t know your dreams then they can’t shoot them down. But I have always been more of a guy who loves to hear the screams from the heaters, got a nice ring to it.”
As he heads to Budapest, tough opposition awaits him, and with the times set, both the 100m and 200m will promise to be sprint showdowns.
In the 100m, he will be facing off against reigning world champion Fred Kerley and Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala, who has also made his targets clear.
