Noah Lyles was fined twice for 'disrupting the peace' due to his pre-race antics.
Noah Lyles has finally addressed whether he paid the fines for his pre-race antics during the 100m and 200m finals at the Paris Olympic Games.
Lyles, who drew attention for his animated jumping routine before the finals, says he has yet to see any bill for the alleged infractions.
Lyles clinched gold in the 100m by the narrowest of margins—just 0.005 seconds—but settled for bronze in the 200m despite battling COVID-19 during the competition.

Olympic champion Noah Lyles reveals strange reason behind his fine at the Paris Olympics
Olympic champion Noah Lyles has revealed the reason why he was fined on the back of his 200m at the Paris Olympics.
In the 200m, Botswana's Letsile Tebogo made history, claiming gold in 19.46 seconds, an African record. Kenny Bednarek of the USA took silver with a time of 19.62, while Lyles finished third in 19.70 seconds.
Shortly after the 200m final, ESPN's Coley Harvey reported that Lyles had received a yellow card for violating Technical Rule 7.1, citing "improper conduct."
Lyles later explained on the Beyond the Records podcast with Rai Benjamin, Hunter Woodhall, and Tara Davis-Woodhall that the penalty stemmed from his exuberant pre-race routine, which officials claimed disrupted other athletes.
“They were coming out to me after every final and saying, ‘Yeah, we are giving you a notice. You are disrupting the peace,’” Lyles shared.

'Lacking compassion & respect' - Fred Kerley's lawyer condemns ‘inhumane’ treatment of black Americans following client's chaotic arrest in Miami
Fred Kerley's lawyer believes African Americans are generally treated brutally by law enforcement after his client's chaotic arrest, where, despite being a two-time Olympic medalist, was arrested with brute force.
“We talked about it before we went in, and I was like, ‘That is disrupting the peace? You are disrupting the other athletes.’”
Lyles found the accusation absurd, pointing out the irony of blaming his energy while overlooking the noise and excitement of the crowd.
Despite the warnings and reports of potential fines, Lyles revealed that no official notice or bill has been sent his way.
“I am going to be honest, I have not seen the bill yet, so I think they were bluffing,” he said. “Me and my agent are still waiting for the bill, but it still has not shown up.”
Lyles’ antics, which have made him a fan favorite, have also occasionally drawn criticism. However, his unapologetic approach to racing and his vibrant personality remain integral to his brand.
