American sprinter and 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles has shared his thoughts on what he thinks Athlos 2024 did differently from other meets.

100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles has shared his honest opinion over the game-changing Athlos Women's only track event that took place in New York on Thursday.

The meet, which featured six events - 100m hurdles, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m races, was stacked with talent, as 30 of the best athletes from all over the world took part in their respective disciplines.

Among the thirty participants, fourteen were fully-fledged Olympians including headliners like three time Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon, Olympic 800m champion Mary Moraa and America's 200m champion Gabby Thomas.

The Athlos meet inaugural event founded by Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian was not your contemporary track and field.

From the concept itself, the event was an only women event featuring elite women athletes from accros the globe.

"Pop Culture meets Track and Field," said Noah Lyles in a tweet through his X account replying to fellow Olympic gold medalist Shamier Little, asking how the Athlos 2024 differed from other meets.

The New York women-only event featured a stage with music playing in between races, breaking from what is usually scene at events like the Olympics.

Athlos also featured added commentary in between each event with the audience at the stadium able to follow through the Public Address System.

The inaugural event additionally broke from the the traditional model that is awarded to the podium athletes and instead went with Tiffany crowns.

Alexis Ohanians Athlos celebrated the woment athlete in style and with huge cash prizes like never seen in track and field events with some of the athletes pocketing a whooping Kshs 14 million.
