Noah Lyles' mother Keisha Caine has given an update on the recovery of Noah Lyles as she slammed the security personnel at the Paris Olympics for putting her son in danger.

Noah Lyles’ mother Keisha Cane has taken to her Instagram handle, noting that watching her son lying on the track at the Paris Olympics was one of the scariest moments of her life.

Lyles allegedly tested positive for COVID-19 but decided to run the final of the men’s 200m where he finished third behind Letsile Tebogo and Kenny Bednarek. He lay on the track a few minutes after the race, something that shook the whole world.

His mother was scared for her son’s life and in the bid to seek help, the security personnel at the stadium allegedly refused to call the doctors to attend to the three-time world champion.

“This was one of the scariest moments of my life! Watching my son hold his chest gasping for air while the stadium security refused to call a Dr. as I begged them to send him help,” Caine penned on her Instagram.

“They also refused to do anything to help. They totally ignored me! No parent should ever have to experience this feeling of helplessness!”

She added that the NBC Sports team came in handy and offered to help. She lauded them for their support and for recognizing herself and Lyles.

Caine extended a hand of gratitude to the US track and field officials who also offered to help during the dire situation.

“However, I want to thank the @nbcolympics team for helping me during this moment. Thank you for seeing me & my son as human beings and not just another story. Words cannot express my gratitude for your empathy, professionalism, and kindness,” she said.

“Also thank you @usatf staff who let me cry on their shoulders. To the security team, I pray if your loved one ever needs help, they get treated better than you treated us. I also thank God he is getting better.”
