Noah Lyles' mother Keisha Cane Bishop and Serena William's husband Alexis Ohanian are among top personalities who are in awe of Faith Kipyegon capabilities following her recent honour at the University of Eldoret.

Faith Kipyegon has made history as the first athlete to be awarded an honorary degree from the University of Eldoret and due to such a huge milestone, she has been congratulated by many.

Noah Lyles’ mother Keisha Cane Bishop and Serena William’s husband Alexis Ohanian are among the top personalities who have lauded the double world champion following the great milestone off the track.

To shower Faith Kipyegon with love, Keisha Cane Bishop shared the great news on her Instagram stories and that was enough to show how proud she was following her achievement.

On his part, Alexis Ohanian reacted to Kipyegon’s success with a four-letter word, expressing how proud he was of her achievement. He said: “What can't you do???”

Faith Kipyegon was also in awe of her achievements as she bragged of her new honours on her social media handles. The three-time Olympic champion surely deserves the recognition following her dominant exploits on the track and placing Kenya on the world map.

The 30-year-old shared a post on her Instagram handle: “Dr. Faith Kipyegon 🎓😍🙏. I am greatly honored to receive an honorary Doctorate degree in Education from The University of Eldoret. 🙏.”

This season, Kipyegon enjoyed great runs despite starting her season late due to an injury. She was first confirmed for the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen and Prefontaine Classic but could not compete as she was nursing her injury.

She opened her season at the Kenyan Olympic trials where she claimed top honours in the 1500m and 5000m. Beatrice Chebet finished second in the race, days after shattering the 10,000m world record at the Prefontaine Classic.

Faith Kipyegon then proceeded to compete at the Diamond League Meeting in Paris where she shattered her world record, clocking a stunning 3:49.04 to cross the finish line. She then went to the Paris Olympic Games where she claimed silver in the 5000m and won her third Olympic gold medal in the 1500m.

She then raced at the Diamond League Meeting in Rome where she claimed the win before taking the Diamond Trophy at the Diamond League Meeting final in Brussels. Faith Kipyegon then rounded up her season with a win at the Athlos NYC.
