Junelle Bromfield is using the Paris Olympics setback to make a strong comeback as she detailed what she wants to achieve in the coming seasons.
Noah Lyles’ girlfriend Junelle Bromfield has unveiled lofty ambitions going forward as her main focus remains on perfecting her 400m.
She made her first national team in the 400m to the Paris Olympic Games and will be looking forward to attaining the same feat as she eyes the 2025 World Championships.
However, she failed to impress competing on the Olympic stage after exiting her campaign in the semifinal of the race. Bromfield was off to a great start in the first round, finishing third in 51.36 to secure her spot in the final as one of the fastest losers.

Going into the semis, Bromfield flopped and was forced to settle for eighth place in the tight race. Competing in the 4x400m mixed relay, Bromfield was vital for team Jamaica as they finished fourth in the first round before their fifth-place finish in the final of the race.

“I got through the 150m and I just felt like I didn’t have anything more to give. I tried to make a call to my body to run but nothing was coming so just that's how it goes. Well, I just want to go back to training and get some rest,” Bromfield said in an interview with Sports Max.
“I just want to get better, because this year I already gave a personal best time at the trials and I just want to keep on training hard and hopefully next year, I will make the individual sport. This year I made the semifinal and hopefully next year I’ll be in the final,” she added.

Junelle Bromfield has revealed her main take away from her disastrous campaign at the Paris Olympic Games.
On his part, Lyles was fortunate enough to win the men’s 100m Olympic title before testing positive for Covid-19. He finished third in the men’s 200m final as Letsile Tebogo and Kenny Bednarek finished first and second respectively.
Due to his status, Lyles did not compete in the men’s 4x100m relay where Team USA was disqualified in the final.
