Noah Lyles' sweetheart Junelle Bromfield endured a Paris 2024 Olympics to forget after a disastrous outing.

Jamaican 400m runner Junelle Bromfield has reflected on a challenging experience at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where she failed to progress beyond the semi-finals.

Bromfield, who had shown promising form in the lead-up to the Games, was unable to replicate her best performances when it mattered most in France.

The 26-year-old had impressed at the Jamaican Olympic Trials, setting a personal best of 50.74 seconds in the semi-final before securing her place on the team with a third-place finish in the final.

Her Olympic campaign began positively, comfortably advancing from her heat with a time of 51.36 seconds.

However, Bromfield's hopes were dashed in the semi-finals, where she finished last in her race with a time of 51.93 seconds, well short of her season's best.

Despite the setback, Bromfield has taken a philosophical approach to her Olympic experience.

"This year's journey has taught me that I am mentally and physically stronger than I thought I was," she shared on social media.

It has emerged that Bromfield's preparation may have been affected by boyfriend Noah Lyles' battle with COVID-19 in the build-up to the Games.

Lyles, the 100m champion, had been diagnosed with the virus, potentially impacting Bromfield's focus and energy levels.

The disappointment in Paris 2024 marks a stark contrast to Bromfield's pre-Games form, which had raised hopes of a strong showing on the Olympic stage.

Bromfield and her boyfriend, Lyles, were the ultimate power couple heading into the competition in Paris, but it was the American who came out with a gold and bronze medal in the 100m and 200m.
