Noah Lyles talked about ways of making Athletics a better sport and he mentioned Usain Bolt.

World 200m champion Noah Lyles voiced his opinion on track icon Usain Bolt and other legends for being absent at the World Championships in Budapest.

The American speedster won the 200m title in a fast 19.52s - his third consecutive world title in the event. In addition, he blazed to the 100m title in a Personal Best (PB) of 9.83s, completing the sprint double in Budapest.

Speaking in the press conference organized for the 200m medallists, Lyles was asked by a journalist what could be done for the improvement of athletics, and he made mention of Bolt.

“Right now, the bar is low. As I look around these championships, I don’t see Bolt… Where are all these great champions?

As we look at them as we’re walking through the tunnel, all these previous champions, why are they not here? Why are we not inviting top-level athletes to come watch the World Championships?” said Lyles.
