Christian Coleman has kicked off preparations for the 2025 track season, training alongside teammates with renewed focus and ambition.

Former world 100m champion Christian Coleman is setting his sights on a strong comeback as he prepares for the 2025 track season.

After concluding a challenging 2024 campaign, Coleman has returned to the training ground with renewed determination alongside his teammates at Star Athletics.

The American sprinter, who turned heads recently with his appearance at the Bowerman Award presentation, shared glimpses of his rigorous training sessions on social media.

A post from Star Athletics showcased Coleman working out with fellow athletes, including Courtney Lindsey and Brendon Stewart, captioned, “Kicked in another gear for the New Year #2025ready.”

Coleman’s renewed focus comes after a 2024 season that did not go as planned, especially at the Paris Olympics, where he fell short in all his events.

He narrowly missed the finals in the men’s 100m dash, finishing fourth behind Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek, and Fred Kerley.

A similar fate followed in the 200m dash, where Lyles, Bednarek, and Erriyon Knighton edged him out.

His last chance for an Olympic medal in the 4x100m relay ended in disappointment due to a botched baton exchange that led to disqualification.

Months after the setbacks, Coleman is motivated to turn things around.

Following his second-place finish in the 100m dash at the Brussels Diamond League, the sprinter expressed his intentions for 2025.

In an interview with Citius Mag as quoted by SportKeeda, Coleman said, “I would say to be determined, we talked about it a little bit but we’ll see how things go in the next few months… I think the big plan for me, or the big goal for me is just… I feel like I have been in the highest highs of the sport and the lowest lows and for me, putting it all out together and reaching my goals that I know I’m capable of achieving.”

Despite not setting specific targets for the upcoming season, Coleman emphasized the importance of maximizing his potential.

“I want to maximize my full talent and ability while I still have it right now, so, I don’t know, no specific goals looking into next season just yet but I just want to be at my best. I know I haven’t been performing the way I’m capable of, so just putting it all out together is the main thing for next season," he said.

Coleman’s training sessions have sparked optimism among his fans, who are eager to see him back at his best.

His collaboration with other talented athletes at Star Athletics is expected to create a competitive environment that could push him to greater heights in 2025.

The 2025 track season could mark a turning point for Coleman as he seeks to reclaim his place among the sport’s elite.
