Letsile Tebogo is not taking things easy on himself as he has confirmed his next race after the Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne.
Newly crowned Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo is not resting on his laurels as he chases more victory in the Diamond League Meetings.
Tebogo made history by becoming the first African to win the Olympic title in the men’s 200m. He was also flawless as he anchored the Botswanan 4x400m men’s team to a silver medal behind Team USA who stamped authority once again.
Following his victorious Olympic campaign, Tebogo will not have much time to rest as he has been confirmed for the Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne scheduled for August 22.

A track athlete was raided by anti-doping officials at the Olympic village days before securing a bronze medal in the 800m event.
In Lausanne, he will compete in the 200m, going up against a stacked field that includes Erriyon Knighton, Fred Kerley, Jereem Richards and Joseph Fahnbulleh among other stars.
After the meeting in Lausanne, the world 100m silver medallist will proceed to the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea, the Diamond League Meeting in Rome on August 30. In Rome, Tebogo will compete in the men’s 100m.

Meanwhile, other stars confirmed for the Diamond League Meeting in Rome include world record-holder Ryan Crouser who will lock horns with Olympic medallists Joe Kovacs and Rajindra Campbell. Letsile Tebogo’s coach has shared how he knew the sprinter would not medal in 100m at Paris Olympic even before the Games due to a saddening moment in the athlete’s life.
Newly-crowned Olympic 400m champion Quincy Hall will be back in 400m action after his one-lap triumph at the Olympics.
Tara Davis-Woodhall jumped 7.10m to take the long jump title in Paris and will be seeking her first Diamond League win in Rome. She will be joined by fellow Olympic champions Hamish Kerr (high jump), Masai Russell (100m hurdles), and Winfred Yavi (3000m steeplechase).
Home talents Gianmarco Tamberi and Stefano Sottile will compete in the high jump as Olympic 10,000m silver medallist Nadia Battocletti will be in action in the 1500m. Olympic bronze medallist Andy Diaz, Lorenzo Simonelli in the 110m hurdles and Elisa Molinarolo and Roberta Bruni in the pole vault will also be in the mix.
