Fred Kerley has been spending most of his time in the gym and his opponents, including Noah Lyles, should be worried ahead of the 2024 season.
Former World 100m champion Fred Kerley will not be resting on his laurels as he eyes a strong comeback in 2024.
Kerley did not have a smooth 2023 season despite starting off on a good note. He opened his season at the Seiko Golden Grand Prix with a win before proceeding to the Diamond League Meeting in Rabat, Morocco where he also reigned supreme.

ATHLETICS: Is there a German street named after Eliud Kipchoge?
After his win at the Berlin Marathon, news about a street in Berlin being named after him spread like bushfire but that information is false.
The American then competed at the Diamond League Meeting in Florence, Italy where he also won the race before tasting his first 100m defeat of the season at the Diamond League Meeting in Chorzow, Poland.
The 28-year-old then headed to the World Championships with the hope of defending his title but failed terribly after he was knocked out in the semifinal. He went to the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen, China with the hope of redemption but ended up finishing third.
He has since changed his coach and will be training under the tutelage of the 1992 Olympic 400m gold medalist Quincy Watts.
In a post on his X (Twitter) handle, he said: “Choosing to make changes is always risky, even riskier during a year like the Olympics. I felt that I needed to bet on myself.
I needed to prove to myself that I was all in and that meant seeking the guidance of COACH WATTS I’m entrusting him to bring out the best version of myself in the most important athletic year of my career. Ya’ll ready?”
Unlike other athletes, Kerley might not be going on vacations and might be spending most of his time in the gym and the track.

ATHLETICS: Marcel Jacobs and Fred Kerley make coaching changes ahead of Olympic Games
Fred Kerley and Marcel Jacobs failed to impress at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, something that might have forced them to change coaches.
From his posts on his X handle, he seems to be burning the midnight oil to ensure that he is ready to roar to greatness ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris, France in 2024.
He shared a photo of himself in the gym and captioned it: “Back to the basics.”
In another post, he said: “Like a ladder, I am here to climb, and like the air, here to rise above.”
