Rising female track star Tima Godbless is on the path to greatness after equalling Sha'Carri Richardson's college feat in her first year in the NCAA.

At the 2024 NCAA Championships, the Nigerian youngster became the first freshman to earn First Team All-American honours in the 100m, 200, and 4x100m since Richardson accomplished the same exploits in 2019.

Godbless made it to the final of each event, first clocking 11.08s in her 100m semifinal, but couldn't improve on it in the final as she finished eighth in 11.10s.

Following this, in the 200m, she made it to the final in a new Personal Best (PB) of 22.56s and 22.87s to finish eighth in the final.

Finally, the 19-year-old was part of her school's 4x100m relay squad that clocked 42.63s in their semifinal heat and lowered it to 42.57s as Louisiana State University placed second in the final, anchoring them on both occasions.

Godbless is highly rated to dominate the women's sprint world in the next few years, and with her progress in her first college year, she's definitely on course to become a world-beater like Richardson.
