The West Africans are the latest to join the list of shame with England set to be awarded the gold medal.
Team Nigeria 4x100m women’s relay team has been stripped of their Commonwealth Games title after an anti-doping rule violation.
The team comprised Tobi Amusan, Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma, and Grace Nwokocha who clocked 42.10 to set a Personal Best time and win Gold at last year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

The women’s Piz Tri Vertical race will be a rematch of the recent World Championships duel in Innsbruck between Kisang and Austria’s champion Andrea Mayr.
As reported by Premium Times Nigeria, they were banned after Nwokocha, was slapped with a suspension after testing positive for a prohibited substance (anabolic steroids ostarine and ligandrol) according to the Commonwealth Games Federation Court.
Nwokocha had run the anchor leg as Nigeria crossed the finish line 0.21 seconds ahead of England.
The statement released by the Commonwealth Games Federation Court said: “The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) can confirm that the Commonwealth Games Federation Court has issued their decision regarding an in-competition sample provided by Ms. Nwokocha, who competed in Athletics at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games."
"Analysis of the sample returned an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) for Ostarine and Dihydroxy-LGD-4033, a metabolite of Ligandrol. Both are non-Specified Substances, listed under Other Anabolic Agents in the WADA 2022 Prohibited List.”
