The American sprint king surprised his fans when he claimed he was tuning into the sport for the first time while unwinding after a hard day’s work of training.
Olympics 100m champion Noah Lyles is never afraid to try out new things or embrace other sports and it seems he is still on that trail going by his latest social media post.
Lyles, a self-confessed lover of anime and manga series, has decided to add combat sports to his list of entertainment and tuned in to watch wrestling, surprisingly for the first time.
The American sprinter admits it is a new experience for him but having gotten into a nonsensical situation, he decided to tune in.

'He turned me into the athlete I am today' - Noah Lyles mourns legendary Olympian behind his rise to stardom
Ralph Mann helped Olympic champion Noah Lyles work on his poor starts in races, coming of the blocks before the sprinter went on to become a global icon.
“I have never watched @WWE but after falling into a deep Wrestling rabbit hole. I got to watch RAW tonight on Netflix,” Lyles posted on X on Monday.
It is still not known if the sprinter enjoyed what he saw but he has previously expressed his admiration for WWE stars for the brand’s value and entertainment which shows physical brawls with the inherent sporty nature of it.
Lyles lauded WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio for putting his body on the line to entertain fans, something similar to what the sprinter does on track.
“Hey, bro, it’s an honor to me,” Lyles said when he met Mysterio in November. “I know what you gotta put your body through. I know you guys do a lot of entertainment, but a lot of sports too.”
Lyles is busy back in training for the 2025 season which will begin with his appearance at the Millrose games, an Indoor meeting in Boston in February.
The sprinter has a big year to look forward to as he will be seeking to defend his 100m and 200m world titles during the World Championships in Tokyo in September and possibly add relay medals to his collection.
