Namibian sprinter Christine Mboma seeks a comeback to the world of competitive running after two years of no action after being prohibited from running by World Athletics.
The Commonwealth Games 200m bronze medallist is one of the female athletes classed as having differences in sexual development (DSD) and was ruled out of the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary after World Athletics wanted athletes to reduce the blood testosterone levels permitted for DSD athletes.
She comes back to competitive running and will only be allowed to compete in the 200m, not the 400m, which is usually one of her favourite events to compete in.

Kip Keino Classic: Athletics Kenya issues rallying call to fans ahead of thrilling action
Athletics Kenya has urged fans to turn up in large numbers during next weekend’s Kip Keino Classic with preparations for the Continental Tour event nearing completion.

The 20-year-old is now scheduled to open her season at the Kip Keino Classic scheduled for Saturday, April 20, where she intends to stun the world with an astonishing comeback after last competing at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
She will be competing in the 100m and hoping to make history again, this being an Olympic year. She became the first Namibian woman to win an Olympic medal at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games where she bagged a silver in the 200m.
Speaking to AFP, event organiser Barnaba Korir expressed excitement to have the Namibian sprinter launch her Olympic campaign at the event. "We are excited to have Christine Mboma back in Nairobi for the meeting after what happened to her here the last time when she pulled her hamstring," he said.
Meanwhile, others confirmed for the Kip Keino Classic, second-tier World Athletics Continental Tour, include Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala taking on former World 200m silver medallist Kenny Bednarek.
World 100m silver medallist Letsile Tebogo will also be in the mix after enjoying a great start to his season with world-leading times and a world record in the 300m.
