Noah Lyles will be looking to defend his 'sprint king' title in 2025 but he has other matters that are making his preparations difficult.
Olympic champion and sprinting sensation Noah Lyles is gearing up to defend his 'sprint king' title but his path back to the track is not without its challenges.
For Lyles, the off-season has been a time to rest his body but also to focus on his burgeoning business interests, an endeavor he admits has left him mentally unprepared for the grind of training.

'I can definitely put a downpayment on two' - Noah Lyles explain reason he wanted to compete in four races at the Paris Olympic Games
Olympic champion Noah Lyles is chasing Usain Bolt's records and wanted to achieve something the Jamaican has never attained in his career.
"First day of practice and not going to lie, my head is not here," Lyles candidly shared in a recent training video.
"It's definitely back home in the office, talking to my agent about my next business move," he added.
The sprinter, who has become as much a business mogul as a track star, revealed the difficulty of balancing his athletics and entrepreneurial ambitions.
While many wonder about his off-season training regimen, Lyles said he adopts a unique approach.
“Truthfully, I have done nothing. I don’t do anything because I train so much throughout the year so intensely that if I’m keeping my body active, I’m not letting it rest.”
This deliberate period of rest, according to Lyles, is essential to maintain his physical edge. Despite stepping away from structured workouts, he feels confident about his fitness level.
"Physically, though, I feel on top of it. I feel like I didn’t lose much. I weighed myself this morning, 171 lbs, which is very close to my race weight. That means I didn’t gain too much and I didn’t lose too much," he disclosed.
Even with limited activity, Lyles did manage a single lifting session prior, which proved encouraging.
"We did power cleans, and the weight didn’t feel super heavy. I still have maintained my strength," he said.
However, the real hurdle for Lyles lies not in his physical preparedness but in his mindset, stating, "All in all, I think my body is ready to go. It’s just getting my head in the right position again."
