After beating IShowSpeed in a 50m race, Noah Lyles declined a rematch, urging the 21-year-old to train for the US trials instead while he headed home to his fiancée and $100,000 prize.
Noah Lyles and Darren Jason Watkins Jr., known online as IShowSpeed or Speed, raced in a 50m race on Wednesday with the triple world champion taking the win as he jogged to the finish line.
Failing to accept that he had lost the race, Speed asked for a rematch but Noah Lyles was reluctant as he explained that Junelle Bromfield was all alone in their mansion and he had to go back home as soon as he could.

Warning shots fired at Tyreek Hill as Noah Lyles beats You Tube star in 50m race to win $100,000
Noah Lyles has shown what he is capable of in a race against a YouTube star as he fired warning shots at Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill ahead of their clash.
Noah Lyles added that he had to count the money he had won, $100,000, to make sure the figures were accurate. However, Speed kept on insisting on why they could not race again considering it was only a 50m race.
“You don’t want to race again…you can’t race again and it’s only 50m, it’s 50m, why can’t you race again?” the YouTuber asked Noah Lyles.
“Because I won the first one. I could listen to your excuses all day but my fiancée is at home and I have $100,000 to count just to make sure it’s all here, so I’d love to chat but it was good, it was fun, you had fun, right?” Lyles said.
Noah Lyles asked Speed to show up for the US trials next year in July, ready to take on a strong field and urged him to ask his followers to fill up the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
The reigning Olympic 100m champion urged him to go back to training and make sure when he is back on track, he can compete in the qualifying round, semifinal and then the final and there, the real winner of the race will be declared.
“I won it…I won it, bro. He barely wanted any talking crates and he barely even won it,” Speed insisted.
