The London Marathon and World Championships in Budapest, may be Mo Farah's last competitive meets.
Great Britain's greatest track runner in history, Mo Farah has hinted that the London Marathon scheduled to hold on April 23, 2023, may be his last time running competitively.
Farah is a long-distance runner with ten global championship Gold medals (four Olympic and six World titles), making him the most successful male track distance runner ever, and the most successful British track athlete in modern Olympic Games history.
The 40-year-old is the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Gold medallist in the 5000m and 10000 m. He is the second athlete, after Lasse Viren to win the 5000m and 10000m titles at successive Olympic Games.
He also completed the 'distance double' at the 2013 and 2015 World Athletics Championships, becoming the first man to defend both distance titles in both major global competitions - a feat described as the 'quadruple-double'.
Farah switched to running the marathon in 2017, and since then, he has competed at several marathon events winning medals and setting several British records in the process.
In a recent interview with TCS London Marathon, the British icon hinted that this year's London Marathon might be his last.
"I'm not a spring chicken anymore. You can't keep coming back in the right shape, and for me, I'd love to be able to finish it at home," he said.
However, he might represent Great Britain one more time if he manages to stay healthy ahead of World Championships in Budapest.
