World 800m champion Mary Moraa will be in action at the Diamond League Meeting in Brussels tonight with the hope of winning her first 400m race of the season in the Diamond League.
The 23-year-old opened her season in the 400m at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix where she reigned supreme then later extended the hot streak to the Kenya Police Championships.

The Jamaican is hopeful that she will lower the late Florence Griffith Joyner’s record which stands at 21.34.
She also competed in the 400m at the World Championships National Trials where she set a new national record time of 50.38.
She made her first appearance in the Diamond League in the Meeting in Monaco but she failed to meet her expectations as she faded to finish a disappointing sixth.
However, she has been successful in the 800m and has had an unbeaten run, something she would have wanted to replicate in the 400m.
She now has a chance to redeem herself in the 400m but she faces a stern Jamaican test when she competes in the Belgian capital. Jamaica’s Candice McLeod will pose as her greatest challenger in the race.
The Jamaican finished second at the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen and she will definitely be seeking for a repeat of the same or even a much better performance.
Home talent, Cynthia Bolingo and Helena Ponette will also be in action with the hope of shining on home soil after a rather disappointing outing at the World Championships.
