The Olympics 400m champion was untouchable at the Silesia Diamond League where she clocked a meeting record for her third win on the circuit.

Olympics 400m champion Marileidy Paulino continued from where she left off at the Paris Olympics when she stormed to victory at the Silesia Diamond League on Sunday.

Paulino clocked a meeting record 48.66 seconds for the win ahead of Eid Salwa Naser of Bahrain, who timed 49.23 for second place, while Natalia Naczmarek of Poland completed the podium in 49.95.

It was another major statement for Paulino as she floored her rivals with ease to show that her Olympics win was no fluke.

The Dominican Republican clocked an Olympics record 48.17 in Paris and the same finishing order was repeated in Poland as Naser and Naczmarek also finished second and third at the Games.

Paulino has been in great form winning the Xiamen, Oslo and Paris Diamond Leagues as well as victories in the Los Angles Grand Prix and even though her rivals were looking for revenge it proved difficult.
