Fred Kerley has broken his silence following his released from jail.
Olympic 100m bronze medallist Fred Kerley has been making headlines for the wrong reasons and he seemingly wants to record straight following the ordeals that prevailed last Thursday.
Kerley was tasered and arrested following a confrontation with police officers in Miami, Florida and was charged with battery, resistance and disorderly conduct.
Camera footage of the ordeal was later released and from the proceedings, Kerley was approached by police officers and one of the officers raised their hand sideways and pushed the former world champion before the altercation started.

LIST: 5 of the most educated Olympians who competed at Paris Olympic Games
From winning medals on the Olympic stage to pursuing Master's degrees, a list of five of the most educated Olympic athletes who were in action at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
It was then that several officers went and pushed Kerley to the ground in the struggle and one pushed him multiple times. Seemingly reacting to the ordeals that happened, Kerley noted that he will never stay down no matter the challenges he is bound to face.
He shared a post on Instagram on his vacation in Turkey and captioned it: “Rising above the storm, one step at a time.”
He then shared another post on X (Twitter) saying: “Man I tell you what.”
Following the arrest, Fred Kerley’s defense attorney Yale Sanford slammed the officers in an interview with CNN. He noted that Fred Kerley has been consistent in putting in the work and represented America on the global stage, winning medals but there is no respect accorded to him.
Sanford added that being a black man in America is not a walk in the park and Kerley is a victim of that, revealing that people should always condemn such ordeals.
“It just goes to show that no matter how hard you work, how many medals you earn for your country, and how many people across the globe you inspire, in Miami Beach, Mr. Kerley was treated like millions of African-Americans, male and female, around the country…with a lack of humanity, compassion, or respect,” he said.
