Her season started with a win in the 60m at the World Indoor Championships where she claimed the gold medal and then shifted focus to the Paris Olympic Games. At the Olympics, Julien Alfred went in as just another sprinter and of course, there were favourites including Sha’Carri Richardson.
However, the young girl shocked the world, winning the 100m title after she outsprinted reigning world 100m champion Richardson to claim top honours.
