Botswana sprinter Letsile Tebogo is opposed to any comparisons between the current generation of sprinters and Jamaican legend Usain Bolt as they haven’t reached his level yet.
Letsile Tebogo feels comparisons between him or the current generation of sprinters and Jamaican legend Usain Bolt are premature.
Tebogo is among sprinters who have been tipped to enjoy a top career and perhaps equal or surpass the achievements of eight-time Olympics champion Bolt.
However, the 21-year-old is not quick to get into that kind of talk as he feels the current generation of sprinters is still have a long way before they can get into that conversation.

Letsile Tebogo’s quest for the $30,000 prize and Diamond League Trophy will come under a heavy challenge as he is up against five top American sprinters at the final in Brussels.
“People will always have their own opinion about how you look at one particular person so I believe we are at an era where there is a new generation coming up where now you have to have [have comparisons] Letsile Tebogo you look like,” Tebogo said on Thursday ahead of the Diamond League final in Brussels.
“I believe that era we have passed but we didn’t surpass his [Bolt] goals and what he did in track and field.”
Tebogo has enjoyed good form since clinching Olympics gold in 200m in Paris in early August, staying unbeaten ever since.
The sprinter has four Diamond League wins out of four meetings, claiming victories in 200m in Lausanne, Silesia and Zurich as well as a dominant run in 100m in Rome.
However, with just one Olympics gold and world silver and bronze medal, he is still far from 11-time world champion Bolt, who is also the world record holder in 200m and 100m.
